Contemporary of Ethnic Music "saratuspersen"〈Indonesia〉

Contemporary of Ethnic Music

The name "saratuspersen" means "one hundred percent" in English, and we can expect a one hundred percent unique experience from this group, formed in 2001 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. They combine modern and traditional music with modern and traditional instruments.  For instance, they use Balinesse instruments such as the Pamade and the Kantil at the same time as instruments such as the drum, bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and violin. They have also incorporated Sundanese and African instruments into their music. Their musical concept is that of world music with a Balinesse influence.
